September 27, 2022Meet Kathleen, 106 years young!
Thanks to Kathleen and her family for sharing our client Kathleen’s life story. Kathleen celebrates 106 years young this year and so we were keen to learn more about this amazing lady.
Born in June 1916, Kathleen (Conlon) Glover
In 1943 she married the love of her life – Michael (Lar) Glover (1916-2007) and moved in to his Father’s house. In 1950, with 4 children under the age of 6 they moved to their own home on Kennelsfort Road Palmerstown where they had 2 more children (3 girls & 3 boys).
72 years later, at 106 years young, she is still living in her own home! She is blessed to have her 3 devoted daughters share the task of staying with her and managing her care. They greatly benefit from the support of a team of very dedicated carers Monday to Friday.
She credits her long & happy life to lots of good food, no alcohol or tobacco, her deep faith & devotion to Our Lady, and of course her loving family.
One thing for sure, loneliness has never come calling and her enjoyment of people and their stories keeps her flame burning.
