Extend your Career Path as a Carer with Private Home Care’s QQI Level 6 Courses

Private HomeCare is unusual amongst Irish home care providers as we have invested in our own in-house Training Department.

Since 2016, we have trained over 700 carers to the standard required by the HSE to be allowed work as home carers supporting people of all ages and abilities to remain in their own homes.

We are delighted to announce that we are now offering a QQI Level 6 course in Supervisory Management, in addition to the wide range of professional and family courses we already offer. This course will equip experienced carers with the knowledge and skills to manage, delegate and communicate with a team. Its prepares you to work as a people manager. If you want to progress your career in a management role, this is the course for you.

One of the huge benefits of working as a home carer is the flexibility it offers you. You can choose only the basic required courses or you can study all the way up to a Major award. You can work from as little as 2 hours per week to full time. There is no other career choice that lets you tailor your work to your lifestyle.

That is why caring is a very desirable career choice for adults of all ages and backgrounds.

Carers choose this profession for a variety of reasons : because they like working with people, because they can choose hours to suit family life, or perhaps they have personal experience of caring for a family member, or perhaps because the family have grown up and left and you have some time available.

So you can imagine how varied the attendees are in our training classrooms!  Our training is friendly and supportive and particularly designed for those who may not have been in a classroom for years if not decades. For many of our carers, english is not their primary languages. We respect you and applaud you and will support you throughout your journey.
