Private HomeCare invested in its own internal training department several years ago. We have long recognised the importance of training for staff, particularly for carers.
Some training courses are mandatory before anyone can start work as a carer in Ireland, regardless of how many years’ experience the carer might have.
Just like in hospitals and other aspects of healthcare, homecare is an international career. Private HomeCare, part of the Cpl Group, is proud of our commitment to diversity. Only one in ten applicants is interviewed to work with us, so we only recruit people who we know from our 34 years experience, are best suited to home care.
Once recruited, we follow the mandatory training requirements by the HSE, for both our public and private clients. We don’t just teach, we support and nurture as well. Here are some reasons why we invest so much in training our successful applicants:
For all of these reasons, Private HomeCare is pleased to offer a scribing service to anyone attending any of our training courses who may need assistance for exams, whenever needed, for whatever reason.
For anyone who is considering working in care, but this aspect of becoming qualified is a barrier, we would love to hear from you.
